Justin Bieber has reportedly settled a $31.5 million debt with former manager Scooter Braun, coinciding with the release of his new album Swag, which features 21 new songs. Bieber shared promotional content on Instagram, including billboards of the album cover and tracklist.
The payment covers $26 million as an advance for the Justice Tour and $5.5 million in unpaid commissions. HYBE, Braun’s company, initially paid these costs after the tour was canceled. Bieber had made only one payment before the settlement, according to People Magazine.
A source told Rolling Stone that Bieber’s break from Braun allowed him to fully express himself creatively, resulting in his most genuine and heartfelt album yet. Braun also praised the album on Instagram, highlighting its authenticity and raw emotion.
