Marriage is a unique journey for conjoined twins Carmen and Lupita Andrade. Carmen recently surprised fans by announcing she married her boyfriend Daniel McCormack in a private ceremony last October in Connecticut, with Lupita supporting her.
Carmen chose a dazzling emerald green dress instead of white, a choice she stands by. Daniel matched her look with a dark suit and green accents. The wedding was intimate, with only close family attending, which suited Carmen’s social anxiety.
In a YouTube video, Carmen shared the news of her marriage, while Lupita made it clear she is single, identifying as asexual and aromantic, and said, “I don’t want to get married.”
The twins explained they are joined at the torso and pelvis but have separate hearts and brains. Although some organs are shared, each feels sensations on their own side.
Carmen met Daniel on a dating app and was honest about being conjoined. They discussed boundaries and, while not sexually intimate, Daniel accepts their unique relationship.
Lupita admitted she’s not much of a wingwoman and enjoys teasing the couple. Carmen felt at ease with Daniel because he focused on her personality rather than her condition, helping her overcome social anxiety and feel truly loved.
