A man and woman were enjoying a quiet dinner at a fancy restaurant. Their waitress, busy taking orders at a nearby table, noticed something peculiar. The man, seemingly without warning, began sliding down his chair and disappearing under the table.
The waitress’s eyes widened in surprise as she watched the scene unfold. The woman, however, appeared completely unfazed, continuing to dine as if nothing out of the ordinary was happening. The waitress couldn’t help but wonder if the woman was simply unaware of her companion’s disappearance.
As the waitress finished taking the order at the nearby table, she approached the woman and politely pointed out the obvious. “Excuse me, ma’am, but I think your husband just slid under the table.” The woman’s response was as calm as it was astonishing. “No, he didn’t,” she replied firmly. “He just walked in the door.”
The waitress was left standing there, bewildered by the woman’s matter-of-fact response. It was clear that this was no ordinary dinner date, and the waitress couldn’t help but wonder what other surprises the evening might hold.
