Father Dies Saving Family in Texas Floods; Fiancée Reveals His Final Words

The recent flash floods in Texas have caused tragic loss, with at least 50 people dead and many families affected. One story stands out: 27-year-old Julian Ryan gave his life trying to save his fiancée Christina Wilson, their children, and his mother in Kerr County.

On July 4, after heavy rains caused the Guadalupe River to rise rapidly, floodwaters entered their trailer home in Ingram. Ryan broke a window to help his family escape to the roof but severely cut his arm in the process.

Christina shared his last words: “By 6 o’clock my husband was dead, he had lost all of his blood. He looked at me and the kids, my mother-in-law and said ‘sorry I’m not going to make it, I love y’all.’” His body was recovered hours later.

Ryan’s mother called him a hero, and the family called for better flood warning systems, believing sirens could have saved lives.

Texas officials have sent hundreds of rescue workers, boats, and helicopters to aid in the disaster response. Governor Greg Abbott vowed to do everything possible to help those affected. Former President Trump expressed sympathy and promised federal support.
