Jennifer Garner, known for her down-to-earth personality and relatable social media content, has been on a mission to preserve her family’s history. Her mother, Patricia English Garner, grew up on a farm in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, which has been in their family for generations.
The farm was purchased by Patricia’s parents in 1936, using a bonus her father received for fighting in World War I. The property consisted of a two-room house and 20 acres of land, including a Native American cemetery. Over the years, the farm changed hands among family members, but its significance remained.
In 2017, Jennifer decided to buy the farm herself, not just to hold onto the memories but to bring it back to life as a thriving business. She enlisted the help of her uncle Robert and aunt Janet, who had previously owned the farm.
Jennifer’s vision was to create a sustainable farm that would provide organic fruits and vegetables for a new venture, “Once Upon a Farm.” The company, co-founded with Ari Raz, John Foraker, and Cassandra Curtis, aimed to produce nutritious food for children.
Jennifer’s passion for the project was evident in her words, “We dreamed of bringing baby food back to the roots with organic fruits and veggies harvested from local farmers, blended with love and served fresh from the fridge.” Her goal was to make healthy food accessible to busy moms, a cause close to her heart.
Since its launch in 2018, “Once Upon a Farm” has achieved remarkable success. Their products are now stocked in major retailers across America and are also available online. Jennifer’s dedication to preserving her family’s legacy has not only saved the farm but has also created a thriving business that benefits families everywhere.
