Woman’s Home Swamped by Amazon Returns—The Shocking Reason Revealed

Kay, a resident of San Jose, California, was bombarded with hundreds of Amazon packages over a year, all containing the same item: faux-leather car seat covers. While most people look forward to deliveries, Kay’s experience was the opposite.

The packages came from a Chinese seller called Liusandedian. When customers returned seat covers that didn’t fit, the return labels mistakenly showed Kay’s address instead of the company’s return center. This caused her home to fill with unwanted returns, leaving her overwhelmed.

Despite refusing many deliveries and contacting Amazon, the problem continued. The packages blocked her driveway and made it difficult for her disabled mother to enter the house. Amazon reportedly told her to donate or return the items by mail, but denied this claim later.

Amazon requires international sellers to provide a U.S. return address or offer ‘returnless refunds.’ Sellers must provide prepaid shipping labels quickly or be charged by Amazon after refunds.

After ABC affiliate KGO reported the story, Amazon apologized and removed the packages from Kay’s property. Kay said she was relieved and grateful that someone finally listened after a long struggle.
