I was looking forward to a peaceful flight after a busy few weeks. But the woman in front of me threw her hair over her seat, covering my screen. I politely asked her to move it, and she flicked it back. When it happened again, I asked more firmly, but she ignored me.
I calmly took out some gum and stuck it into her hair, spreading it so she wouldn’t notice right away. Later, she felt it and was shocked. When she confronted me, I explained it was because she disrespected my space.
She was angry, but I stayed calm and offered her scissors to fix it. She tied her hair up and didn’t block my screen again. The rest of the flight was quiet, and I finally relaxed.
Some may say I went too far, but when someone ignores polite requests, sometimes you need a firm response. I wasn’t rude—I was clear. And I got the peace I wanted.
